News Time in Room 4

As most of you will know, kids love sharing news, and in Room 4 the kids are definitely no different!!
We absolutely love sharing news/treasures and other interesting things with each other. Below are some pictures of us sharing news:

Christmas Tree in Gloucester Fashions

Wow! How lucky were we! We were asked to decorate a Christmas tree for a shop in Taradale (Gloucester Fashions)
We were lucky enough to have Caro from Germany help us create our masterpiece!
What fun we had!

Please go and have a look in Taradale and see if you can spot it! :)

Slack Teacher!

So sorry everyone about the lack in posting lately! We have been super busy in Room 4 so far this term with Marlet Day, Christmas Changeover, Kapa Haka, reports and so on!
Our Market day was super successful, we made; Grass heads, necklaces, bracelets and fun pegs!

Buddy Reading in the Sun

Every Thursday for 10minutes we are lucky enough to have Room 14 visit our classroom. Our focus has been reading and today the Room 14 kids read to us for a change! It was such a sunny day that the kids decided the playground was the best place to read :)

Bye Keala! We will miss you!

Today we had to say a very sad goodbye to Keala. She is off to Auckland to live and is super excited! We will miss her so much and wish her and her family luck on their new adventures :)

Today we got to do some painting as this is what Keala wanted to do on her last day.

Midnight Delivery

We were so lucky today to have Taea bring in her guinea pig Midnight. The kids absolutely loved being able to hold her and it was a great lesson in how to take care of small animals - perfect for our Living Things topic!
Below are some pictures:

BMP!

Every Tuesday we take part in BMP (Bledisloe Motor Program) where the students go around various activities so they can experience lots of different things.
In this photo, Ruby, Autumn, Emma and Te Manakohia are showing off their amazing hula hooping skills!

Under The Sea

Thank you so much to all those families who donated some old CDs for us!
We have used them to create some very colourful sea animals.
The kids had so much fun making these and they look great hanging from our net by the fish tank.
