Robots + Money = Maths FUN
Last week we were learning about 2D and 3D shapes, however we decided to incorporate money into this topic as well.
The students were given some money (in $1 coins) and were told that each side of the shapes cost $1, e.g. square= $4, they then had to make a robot etc only using the money they were given.
They then had to write the number equation on some paper.
It was a great activity and even better with the fact that it taught students about money, shapes and adding!
